R C Grant carried out the groundworks at Epping Rugby Club, converting an existing grass pitch into a new artificial rugby pitch. The work included:
- Reduced-level excavation and removal of existing materials
- Installation of a new pitch drainage system
- Construction of new formation and sub-base
- Underground ducting for the new floodlighting system
- Concrete foundation bases for the floodlight columns
- New perimeter kerbs and edgings
- New sockets for the rugby posts and associated equipment
- A new tarmac layer
- A rubber shock pad system
- The new artificial grass playing surface, including all finishing works
New car park
Alongside the pitch, we constructed a new car park for the club:
- Reduced-level excavation and removal of existing materials
- A new stormwater drainage system
- New kerbs and edgings
- New formation and sub-base
- New tarmac surfacing
- Associated finishing and making good
