R C Grant has completed the groundworks for Epping Rugby Club’s new artificial rugby pitch, converting an existing grass pitch into an all-weather playing surface the club can use year-round.
Our team handled everything below the turf: reduced-level excavation, a new pitch drainage system, a fresh formation and sub-base, and the ducting and concrete foundations for the new floodlights. We then installed the perimeter kerbs, post sockets, tarmac layer and rubber shock pad, ready for the artificial grass playing surface.
Alongside the pitch, we also built the club a new car park, complete with stormwater drainage, kerbs and tarmac surfacing.
